The brain is the battlefield of the future
This is a lecture by Dr James Giordano given at the United States Military Academy, West Point Modern War Institute on 25 September 2018 He starts by openly declaring the brain will be the battlespace of the future. He talks about weapons of mass destruction and disruption, saying that disruption will be the key. It involves understanding what makes me and you think, and involves accessing, assessing and affecting the brain. He talks of how to use narratives to influence brains and emotions subliminally and by other means such as psychological operations, with directed energy neuroweapons, precision pathology drugs, bugs and toxins, trans-cranial neuro modulation, implanting DARPA brain-machine interfaces, reading and writing into the brain function remotely and in real time and neutralising an enemy’s willingness to fight. He also talks of economic leverage, infiltration, intelligence and PSYOPS as well as how advancements in neuroscience and neurotechnology will impact the future of war. He has written a book Neurotechnology in National Security and Defense.
